Kniot ("we", "our", "the app") is a collaborative shopping list application available on iOS and Android. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive the name and email associated with that account.
Shopping list data. The lists you create, including item names, quantities, and completion status. This data is stored so you can access it across devices and share it with others.
Usage analytics. We use Mixpanel to collect anonymous usage events (e.g., list created, item added) to understand how the app is used and improve it. No personal data is attached to these events.
We do not sell your personal data. Your shopping list data is shared only with people you explicitly invite to a list. We use the following third-party services:
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and protected by Firebase security rules that ensure only authorized users can access their own data and shared lists. All data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
Your data is kept as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your personal data and any lists you own that are not shared with others will be deleted. Shared lists will remain accessible to other members.

Kniot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
